Hi just wanted to share my joy with my fellow ccf members today after visiting 2 coin stores in the city I managed to buy quite a few key date coins for my collection for a price which I was very very happy with firstly I managed to find a 1932 florin in VG for $200, a 1939 florin in VF for $50 (i was absolutely shocked when he told me the price for it) and a 1911 florin in aFine/Fine for $65. Overall I was very happy with my purchases and should get photo's up tommorrow. But believe me they are absolute beauties in general for a price that just blew me away. If anyone is in Sydney I highly sugest Downies (their store in the city) and KJC both of which are excellent in quality of stock for a very reasonable price.

The 1932 looks like a good coin. I think $200 is a real good deal on that one.

Yeah I was really happy with that one. There was another 1932 florin in fine but thought this one was better value. On the 1939 I was looking on picking one up in extra fine for around 350 but when I found this one in very fine I expected to pay around $90-120 for it (based on prices I could find online) but when he said it was $50 dollars I was honestly shocked. Do you think I got value for money? and if its okay what would you value them for?

G'day OMF, I think you did pretty well. I like the 32 and the price (I've never had one so .... I'm ). I like the strike on the 1911's reverse, nice and crisp from the pics. The 39 seems to me to be pretty good for a hard date, though I have lots of trouble making out detail on the angled pics (my eyes). How would the reverse of the 39 compare to these two: #1 is yours better/same/worse #2 is yours better/same/worse

I think both the 1911 and 1939 have had a light dip. Theyre still both quite attractive.

That sounds good OMF! If it's in that condition then I think you got it for a really good price.
