Copper price takes so long to go up I'm not sure its worth it, then again this could have been what it needed to climb in price which overall isn't really a good thing

This is a fad caused by low interest rates....if interest rates were 5%....let's see the demand to store copper in warehouses.

This has been in the works for a longgg time so this is no surprise I was told this would be out in the coming weeks.

I for one look forward to trading it.

Doubtful it impacts copper prices going forward. EVen with an improving global economy, unless someone else embarks on another huge building cycle copper isn't going anywhere fast for now.

Can't wait to stock up on a stack of 1 avp oz coins for 23 cents each, and watch the value skyrocket up to 40 cents a piece.

Those big banks really know how to make money. This is a huge win for them. Now they can go out an buy a huge chuck of physical copper without any regulatory issues and start manipulating the price of it. They will make some good money and all of the rest of us will feel it when anything copper becomes more expensive. It will be interesting to see how the regulators feel about this decision in a few years.

Okay, so JPM can now try to manipulate copper even more. Not sure if anyone was watching the prices in 2010/1 but manufacturers were in an uproar because JPM owns lots of metals warehouses and delayed delivery times while charging the owners of the metals for the extra time the metals stayed in their custody. The SEC was involved in the investigation, as such several Corps went to the media and had it splashed around to rouse the SEC, Dodd & Frank were brought in on the issue as well. Coca-Cola was one of the companies not getting their metal.
