This was a "I gotta have it  " buy!  1796 LET BRITAIN FLOURISH, Stags head left. BRITANIA RULES THE WAVES, Shield w/ flowers. I have been wanting a Conder token for while and this type is one of favorites:)

Edinburgh (Lothian) Halfpenny token 1796. D&H Lothian 2 Obverse: Flower spray in shield: "BRITANIA RULES THE WAVES". Reverse: A stag's head above date, middle horn of left antler points to the middle of "N": "LET BRITAIN FLOURISH 1796". Plain edge. Listed in Dalton & Hamer as "SCARCE".
In this condition $40-50

A marvel. I don't think the sprig in the shield is any official coat of arms, but it may be mimicking, or making a playful comment, on one on another coin or token.
