I am looking to purchase a quantity of Morgan and Peace dollars.
Would it be reasonable to get a quantity of 40 for say $27.00?
Any websites or direction would most helpful.
Thanks,
Jeff

They would have to be well worn and or damaged to get them for that price I would think.

Thanks for the reply, any idea of where I should be looking to purchase a number
of coins like this? I would be most interested. ebay, Amazon seem to sell one coin at a time, I am thinking shipping cost would be expensive.

Do a Google Search for "Bulk Morgan dollars." You won't see a result for much less than $31/coin in quantity, and those will be culls. Brokencc.com has what I noted as possibly the lowest prices from a dealer I know and trust.

Any Morgan purchase I hear about here for less than $30 gets immediate congratulations.

Try APMEX. They sell all kinds of silver coins at near spot prices. Doubt you will get anything quite that low, but you can look.

Are you hoping to find quality coins or just for stacking silver? There's rolls to be found.. But for BU coins even the rolls I've seen we're between $40-$50 each per coin.. But then again I haven't really looked.. My buddy just got a nice roll, I'll try to get ahold of him tomorrow and see what he paid and from where. I guess he actually got a few MS's in the roll too (I haven't seen them yet.. So we'll see what his idea of a MS is, lol) and I think he said he paid not much over spot (but I could be wrong).. All I remember is be told me to buy some scrap Morgan's/peace $'s from the scrap bin and he'd give me the MS's, as he doesn't collect the coins for anything more than silver..

O ya.. There's a roll of BU's on my local Craigslist, but the guy wants $50 ea. check the junk bin at local coin stores or pawn shops... If their really beat up coins you MIGHT be able to just purchase 20 individual ones... Really the same thing..

Lol, SSDD.. I just googled it right after posting (I didn't see any of the posts except the top 2 before I started typing) but that was the first place that popped up, under APMEX, and cull rolls were $30 and change per coin, $610 a cull roll, free shipping over $500
That's actually the lowest I've seen it anywhere.. $30.50 per coin free shipping.. For stacking silver it's not bad!

Thanks for all the info, I just purchase some rolls from brokencc.com
it was 620/roll for morgans 1904 and earlier including shipping, I am very pleased
with the deal. Ampex shipping was pricey. I also have a good understanding of
culls, I am ok with that but would perfer the coins don't have holes in them.
We'll see. Thanks again most helpful.

Think "closer to home", as in CCF. IGE can accomidate @ 27, & no need to buy bulk. About the best deal
I know of, right now.

I just check and found out the shipping is also free over
500.00 at ampex. It looks like I have 2 good sources that
i can use to fill my needs. My local dealer sells all his cull
morgans to a gent for 32.00 who flips them on ebay. So
i am having to move elsewhere. I will check more local coin dealers
pawn shops etc, I have a soure for eagles at $3.00 over spot, but when
spot goes below $30, I am paying $4.00 over spot. I will move back
toward the eagles soon.

Just as an idle question, are you doing this as a bullion holding?
