Are these worth collecting?
If so what would be a good price point?
Do I need to worry about fake coins or would people not do it b/c there aren't rare and only 40% silver

I believe they are the hardest to find out of all of the 40%...
EDIT: aside from the '70-D

What about the 66 to 70?
Since they are less rare, what would be a good price point?

Yes, they are the lowest minted of 65-69, but with 65 million plus minted, they aren't exactly rare. Full retail on those years from MS60-64 range 10-20 bucks.
70D is a key coin to the series and will sell for more. The likely hood of finding one in circulated condition is low as these were mint set only coins. Retail on an MS64 is 45 bucks.

Most common what? Circulated, BU, Gem BU? Most below AU55 run 5 - 8 bucks for 1965 - 1967.

I love the USA 40% half dollars because they are cheap silver and look nice. In Canada, I can often find them for under $2.

I usually look up the melt value on one of the silver conversion web sites and go from there.

Yes, 20 coins in a roll. My rule of thumb is $5 a piece on the 40% halves, for nice one's, but I'm a fan. Melt on these is $4.63 today.

Quote: In Canada, I can often find them for under $2 That's plain crazy.. At 2$ a piece, I'd buy 5000 of them without hesitation.
