on the obv bottom.. to me you can see 3 seperate hits.. The first where the bevel starts, under that you can see a second line and then the final part where it is pushed down... Now maybe I'm wrong but it sure looks like it

Pretty nice coin to own no matter how many hits it has. It looks like maybe it circulated at one time did you get it out of circulation.

A mint state one, red-brown, recently sold for $200.

Yours is AU at best. As a one-cent error collector, I did bid strongly on that ebay item, but, I would not bid on your coin. It is not a rare error, and grade and original colour/lustre is important. You might get $50 to $65 for it.

This is just an off center strike . the other marks you see are from the collar die . It is not triple struck .

Hey Art still an excellent hit. Shows stuff is still out there in change. To the right guy I am thinking 75 ish or so. For a 1962 similiar we got 80. Nice find.

thanks 54.... I was surprised to see it..At first I thought it was just a dark penny until I looked closer.. Guess I will pay closer attention to my change from now on...
