So today I inquired about a MS 67 1880s Morgan being sold for $220. Come to find out it is graded by NCC. I asked for pictures and the coin, IMO, would grade no higher then AU. Thought I was getting lucky for a minute. Anyone else ever dealt with NCC coin?

Hi benchfreak221,
I've not dealt with NCC, but, I would refer you to a thread here at the CCF from 2011 on NCC:

I wouldn't believe NCC if they said the sun rose in the east.

A couple of years ago I bought an NCC graded coin on ebay. Luckily I listened to the experts on this forum and bought the coin and not the holder. Their grade was not even close to reality.

I've gotten some excellent deals on NCC slabs. While they aren't MS 67 most of the time, they are usually very nice coins. Since some of these TPG's have gotten such bad reputations, sometimes people won't even bid on them. I love that. I get them for cheap all the time.

Articsparky - that's a smart strategy ... it's always interesting to find out how others are 'beating the market'.

Again, buy the coin not the holder. I have gotten a couple of these for the same reason. No one bid on them because they were not the grade on the holder . I got them for a price that was still cheap for a coin two grades less. Broke them out of the slabs and added them to my raw collection at a bargain.
