Hello! Recently got this coin in a collection to sell for the collection heirs. Am wondering how much I can expect to get for it w/ the hole, and what the grade would be (w/out the hole). Thanks!

noahs-numismatics- Unfortunately, that coin does show quite a bit of wear, and the scratches make me wonder if it has been cleaned at some point as well. Since it has the hole, it may have been a part of a piece of jewelry at one point. Due to these aforementioned issues, this coin is probably just worth the bullion value.

Any idea what that would be? I was thinking around $75?

about 3.22 grams, 90% gold. French gold coins rarely attract much above melt value, unless they are higher grade, or have a scarce mintmark. Yours has the hole where the mintmark ought to be.

I'd buy it for about that price.

If it weighs 3.22 grams, is 90% gold & spot is $1650 melt would be about $153. I'm not familiar with that particular coin but there's nothing wrong with my math.

With the hole, not gradeable. Gold value only unfortunately. This coin would be best used as jewelry, which I suspect is the reason it was holed in the first place.
