I picked up these three coins recently and, would like to know the following:

A small slide show:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/190898...256464/show/

(1) "which" noble is this? there are several varietys. I've found this site with some of them but don't find my coin:

http://www.coinsofbritain.com/pages...s.asp?cat=10

(2) I find no assayers mark on the Carlos and Johanna coin; what's up with that? All the examples I can find have one. Is this a rare (meaning valuable) coin?

(3) I've owned pillar dollars like the one in my slide show before but I've never seen a date # like this one: what is the third digit? And am I correct in thinking it was minted in Mexico(city)?

Any help appreciated!

regards, mitch

Good news, all the 3 look genuine :D
1) No clue, I leave that one to others :)
2) Essayer is O , mint mark Mo (Mexico). This is a very nice 4 reales, it's listed at 500€ in the Calico (lowest price for this denomination / period) which is a bit high, it's more around 300.
3) The coin was minted in Mexico (Mo) , and the third digit is a 5 - dated 1759 :)
