Hi...bought a group of 28 "Australian" pennys at a local coin shop. Bismarck, ND is far away from Australia! Happened to find that one of the "pennys" was actually from Jersey. I view that as a bonus!

The queen has a bit of a "mask" unfortunately, but here's the coin...

Your coin is much nicer than mine.

What is the grade?

I have no idea. It was just one of a "mixed lot" of Australian pennies. It wasn't until I asked on the Australian forum about it that I learned that it wasn't Australian. (Yes...I know my geography needs a bit of a boost. Jersey is an island off the English coast...)

So...if anyone would care to give it a grade, I'd sure like to hear it.

Looks like a fair amount of wear - and then there's the discoloured patch. I'd grade it VF at best.
