Manchukuo or better known as Manchuria was an area that was occupied by Japan during WWII.

I found the 1943 1 fen to be unusually difficult to find. This seems true for a lot of Manchukuo coins struck in between 1941-1944 for some reason - they are getting scarcer to find by the day.

Strangely enough, fiber coins are much easier to find regardless of the catalog value.

I do not have a Krause catalog handy to know what the values are but JNDA (Japanese catalog) seem to greatly underrate coins struck in between 1941-44. Fiber coins on the other hand are overvalued for some reason.

Not sure if anyone else collects such coins but would like to hear how difficult you find these coins to be.

I do not collect these coins by date but would be happy to get one of each type.

I only have a few which I get from local sellers who cannot ID them and list them as unknown Chinese or Asian. They are basically junk box finds.

I have tracked some lots on ebay and when properly identified and described they go for more than I am willing to pay.

I don't know about the years you describe, but agree that it is easy to find the fiber coins. It is not hard to find them offered from numerous sellers.

My small collection.
Problems with acquisition weren't, there would be money, it is possible to buy any face values regardless of a rarity and distribution.
generally I got from 100 to 150 rubles (4-6 USD)
