Fellow members, I wanted to pass on my experience I had with one of the lesser known online auction sites. The auction company is Wensy. I purchased 5 circulated rolls from a listing that looked like this: One Full Roll PICK THE YEAR & MINTMARK 1959-1982 Cu Pennies For sale are rolls of fifty 95% copper U.S. one cent pennies, pick any year between 1959 and 1982 and any mintmark: P, D or S. These coins will all be business strikes, so "S" mintmarks only issued for proof coins I will not supply. You tell me the year and mintmark you want per purchase. Each purchase unit entitles you to 50 coins of any year and mintmark combination. If you purchase 3 or more rolls you pay a maximum of just $5.50 postage for all your lots (good up to 13 pounds weight). All rolls contain circulated coins. Now knowing these are circulated, I knew it was not a great deal, but I had done business with the seller before. So, what the heck, I got 5 rolls where a good variety find would be quite rewarding. The day after I paid for said lot I received this message from the seller: "Hi Sean, This is to alert you that I am in the process of putting together your order. Since 1969-S and 1970-S are harder varieties to come by, delay of your shipment could be up to 2 weeks. I will alert you to the day your package is posted. Thank you for your patience and thanks for your payment! " Too which I responded was unacceptable. That his listing showed rolls ready for shipment. I demanded a refund, and all I got was the run around. So I contacted Wensy directly, through email. About a day after I got a reply from a Wensy Admin wanting the seller's name. I provided the info. That was 5 days ago. I have since sent 2 more emails to this Admin that have gone completely unanswered. The money is not the issue here. It is the principle. The lack of integrity or good customer service from the seller and the website. I had done quite a bit of buying on Wensy until the sellers started making their opening bids right at retail. After this incident, I won't be back. To make things more frustrating is that everytime I send an email to the Admin, I get an automated response stating my email will be answered within 24 hours. Hey Admin, it has been over 120 hours.

That's not cool, not a way to not only do business, but it's no way for a group of upstarts to launch a new auction site. Damaged their credibility with this one.

Wensy has been around for a while. I started buying on there about 2 to 3 years ago. Never really had many problems, but this one really go to me.

I sold there until I realized a large % of sellers had been banned from the bay/paypal. Not exactly the venue to get known. I know of a few members here who sell there. I would rather have the fees. Lesser of 2 evils.

Thanks guys. Like I stated, it is not about the money. Wensy has just shown me what kind of auction host they truly are.

Slander. I told him that documented proof is not slander. I have yet to receive my items, yet to receive any more correspondence from seller or Wensy. I was screwed by both it seems.

Any updates? I have never heard of Wensy, but this thread is certainly not leaving me wanting to try them.

No items yet. Seller claims they were sent on the 4th. No other correspondence from Wensy Admin.

And now the plot thickens. I finally got a package from the seller on the 21st, over three weeks from when I made payment. Inside, instead of 6 rolls of cents (2)69S, (2)70S, and (2) 72P, I got three rolls: (2) 72P & (1) 69S and the handwritten note which I have attached. These three rolls did not even have the ends taped up, so the coins were all over the inside of this small flat rate box. This is without a doubt the worst online auction experience I have ever had. Thanks Wensy. AVOID WENSY ONLINE AUCTION The owner provides zero customer service, and then threatens you when you push the issue. If you still must go to Wensy: Avoid seller kiwi_bird He does not provide what he has listed and photographed in his listings. Then takes it upon himself to determine what the appropriate reund or return should be.

LOL thats honestly the most absurd letter I've ever read. I'm not sure whats worse the BS about silver being lawful money you have to accept or when he flat out admits that hes going to take his sweet time to make sure he doesn't miss anything and send you something too good.
Out of curiosity how did you pay for the order?

I only asked just because if it was from paypal or a credit card you could just cut out the middle man and go right to them to dispute the payment and cancel the order
