Again as with most of my Indians this one has seen much better days. I think it may make G4 on a good day. The interesting thing about it however is the doubling on the date and "of America" I have been looking around ebay for some time now and have not seen another with similar doubling. Anyone here from FLYIN know if this is a comon error?
Would it increase its current $1.50 value enough to warrant taking it out of its mylar bed and putting it in an Airtite?
Sorry about the poor picture but I don't want to disturb its rest in the 2x2.

My personal thought is that Airtites are inexpensive enough to place most coins in. If you want your collection to be protected while still allowing easy viewing, Airtites are fantastic.

Now as far as the doubling on the 1894 Indian, it is a bit hard to see in the pic, but there it is pretty common for the date.

My book shows it as a Snow-1 and is very common. According to the book, it doesn't add a premium to the coin. But, if you were to find someone who was looking for it to fill a hole in a variety collection or to start one, you might be able to get a little more than market value.

I think I'll take option 1 and put it in a more permanent holder and place it in the Indian retirement home.
