This auction for a 1995D "Assosonation" (yes, it's really spelled that way in the title and listing) cent is absolutely post-Mint damage. There is no question. This seller was a member here for a while and wouldn't listen to our experts about her errors. I have reported this auction as a fraudulent listing.

seller does indicate this in the listing:
quote:

This does not (to me, not an expert), seem to be post mint as there are no upraised matkings of displaced metal, and no scratches on the reverse that one would think would come from a man made 'punch'.

So I guess they are stating it is post mint and not really trying to defraud the public.

I think the whole holding the penny and getting a feeling of respect and awe thing was a wee bit over the top.
