Am interested in what preferences if any some of you have between these two publications. My take is that NN is more oriented toward the average collector while CW is more investment slanted. NN seems to have better ads although their classifieds lately have been a little strange as one dealer- 'Rita' in AZ- acounts for over half of the ads. In put appreciated.

I have only ever read CW to know, but I'd say they are pretty great!

While I read both and they are both great, I prefer NN because it is a weekly where as CW is a monthly. I prefer my coin news less than a month old.

But that being said, CW will take that news and with more time to write, will take it more indepth.

Coin World is a weekly magazine, not monthly, and becomes addictive.

Coin World is available as a weekly as well as a monthly; you can subscribe to either or both. They supplement each other nicely.

I've read Coin World and Numismatic News on a weekly basis for 20+ years. My experience has been that Coin World generally offers more content.
