I am new to Vamming and recently purchased this unattributed

I am almost positive it is a VAM-144-A with all obverse attributes But I noticed other anomalies on the reverse Is this not a 144A? Maybe another VAM? I do not have any books. I go by VAMworld.com and I couldnt find anything on there with the doubling on the reverse

Need some help on this one.

I can't see the imageshack photos from work ... just little red X's. Check the 'O' in God (assuming it's a second reverse with short arrow nock). Vams 140-146 have an open 'O'.

Yes I have an open 0. Sorry about the imageshack. I need a better image-hoster for free

The open O is one of the pictures.

If it has parallel arrow feathers and a short nock (second reverse) and an open 'O' then it's limited to Vams 140-146. I'll give it a look tonight to verify.

Another option for image hosting is right here on CCF. Check out the member galleries link on the left. Create an account with SusanLynn, post your photos and use the link in the thread. There's no size restrictions like the direct posting.

I think I'm calling this one 144 rather than 144A, because 144A is defined by clashing I don't see here.

The 144 should have the missing nostril. This has a full nostril

Have a look at the full-face images posted for this VAM at VAMworld, and the bottom detail pic directly above them. You'll see the same partial nostril as your coin shows. Not sure I trust that first detail image showing the open nostril. Still doesn't matter - no clashing, no 144A.

It's a 144 for sure. Amazing what you can do when you can see the pictures.

Thanks! I was really thrown with the nostril I thought it had to be completely missing! And the Doubling on the reverse isn't anything to be concerned about? I dont see anything on vamworld that mentions reverse doubling

I don't think that's an unreasonable price.

As regards the doubling: It may be Machine Doubling, or maybe just something not recorded for the VAM. I lean toward the former, because it's pretty prominent and I can't see it going missed by whoever researched the coin. VAM-140, another use of this reverse, doesn't show the doubling either.
