I don't what it is, but it looks great and is very well struck. I like it, what ever it is.

That is a strange reverse... I don't know what else to say. Other than that it's a nice token-coin thing!

I'm watching this on ebay. Can't decide if I want to take the chance. It's not in any reference book that I have and if I'm reading the date correctly it's either 1808 or 1880, neither of which fit with a Greek monarch. My guess is Caroline of Brunswick.
Nice piece, but it has priced itself out of my league.

the obverse translates, approimately, to "Queen Caroline".
Nice effigy. Dare I speculate that "BP" might be Benedetto Pistrucci ?
And nice flowers: I wonder what significance they have ?

The obverse includes unusual - and to me, incomprehensible - symbolism.
I don't understand the two triple-letter inscriptions.
The word on the reverse seems to transliterate at "Neopolitan".

I can't see a date on the medallion itself: where is your clue, please Alan ?

From what I have read here and researched it seems to fit with Maria Carolina of Austria.

It's all Greek to me.

That is a very nice piece. Great graphics. Great eye appeal.

What's the status on these? Any value?

John, how do you get such large pictures on ebay? Is it an external hosting or a paid for ebay function?

Alan, It is hosted for free on photobucket then the HTML code is pasted into ebay, I type in what details I want into the description block then open the HTML tab and paste the code in there, its a doddle and effective I think.
