From last night... Why all of a sudden drop? Did someone or group flood the market with these grades?

WOW! That is one hefty loss if you owned a bunch of those.

Just to show all that coin investment is not for the faint of heart, and is more for the hobbyist who can withstand the market ups and down.

It's simply what people will pay due to how they take a shine to them.
This is why it's so silly for PCGS to treat coins like they're stocks with their price sheets (winners and losers; it is ridiculousness).

It's kind of something to know. If you buy coins that are not over 100 years old. They don't have high sell value in MS. I can pick up a MS-65 mercury dime for like 23.

Ever look in the back of the Red Book at prices on Proof sets? So many are rated less than issue prices and the Red Book is known for way to high in prices too.

those prices from yesterday were all wrong. that's why. a 1957-D is in 66 was never a 500.00 coin. 65+ grades were never more than $100. Those were just bad prices from yesterday represented on that chart.
There were some drops in high end material recently- that was because the 2nd highest rated registry set sold for 30 cents on the dollar. most of these coins were dogs- which is why they got god pricing.

PCGS prices have always been off and not something I never used. Yet another example of why they are an over blown over rated company. This was not a market correction or the like. The prices they are showing now are the prices that were listed on Coin World all along. Simply their attempt to raise the market on their slabbed coins. That means I can finally get a 32D or S quarter or 16D Merc or 14D LWC in MS for under 100.00? Send them to me and I will write you a check for 400 bucks. I know the 09S VDB is now over 100 years, but only by a bit, so you think you could let me have that one for 300.00 in MS65? Thanks.
