I recently bought a group of coins that included this token/medal. The diameter of this piece is 38mm & it weighs 22.9 grams. The edge is plain & is marked "MADE IN CANADA". The small writing under the date on the reverse is "LOMBARDO".

I also got a sterling version in the group. It is identical to this one except it weighs in at 23.2 grams & has a prooflike finish. It is housed in an 8-sided acrylic case that is marked "LOMBARDO", "MADE IN CANADA", & LOMBARDO MINT". In addition the edge of the coin is marked "STERLING SILVER" & has what appears to be a serial number.

I believe these are from a private mint in Canada....any other information would be helpful. I'm not having much luck with a web search.
