I have got some random world coins. I really don't know anything at all about world coins. I would really like to know if these are silver.

Coin 1: REPUBLICA ARGENTINA 5 centavos 1952 (on the reverse)

Coin 2: (reverse)5 PTAS (obverse) Francisco franco caudillo de espana por la g.de djos 1957

Coin 3: (obverse) republique francaise (reverse liberte egalite fraternite 1 franc 1961

Any help will be appreciated, like I said, I don't know much at all about foreign coins.

No silver in those three - copper nickel for the first two and nickel for the French coin. All common.

The actual date on the 1957 5 Peseta coin is found in the small feature near the eagle's wing - it wears off quickly - the number is incuse 2 digits only. Not collectible without a clear second date. The 63 is the only good date under MS.

I know for 1968 Canada 25 cents, some were silver, some were nickel, and the site listed by Penny4Me doesn't say that unfortunately.

That is a good reference site.
Fuzzy is right, they are listed but no footnote on difference. Granted a collector should know but a novice I believe would assume all silver.

This site notes the difference of the 25 cent Canadian.
www. (124) Not Allowed - Auto-Removed .com/silver
For some reason it will not let me post a Hyperlink?
Not sure why if a no no from their site or CCF.
What is 124?

Fuzzy, in all respect to CCF, could somebody explain why. I tried to find the reasoning in the rules maybe I missed it.
How did you know the site since it is not posted? Again in all respect.
edit 124 just tells it is a no no. You do not know the site correct.

bpoc1: "124" is the code the CCF swearword filter uses so that the admins and mods know which banned website it is. The site in question spammed its way to the top of Google searches on the subject, including spamming this forum. That site's creator was rather irate and rude when his spam was removed. As a result, that site has earned a blacklisting from CCF and may not be mentioned here.

Thanks Sap. The site in question I thought only listed current silver values for U.S and Canadian coins. I did not know about the past history of running
a muck with CCF. This ends it I hope. In all respect to CCF.

Thanks guys for the response. That was a great website to. So I gave a dollar for all four of these coins(there was 2 of the peseta coins). One is a 1974 and the other is a 1959. Did I do okay?

Price is all relative to the collector. If the coin "tickles your fancy", than it is a good find. LOL. The coin is worth what someone will pay essentially.
