Just got my 2006-S 11 piece proof set from the mint (just got back into collecting). I am overall very pleased with all the coins, especially the quarters. Outstanding!

But I am a little disappointed with the Sacagawea dollar. It looks like some scruffs/scratches on the actual coin. I'm afraid to pop open the case to tell for sure. Could this just be how the finish in the fields usually looks with this alloy?

Anyone else have problems with the Saca dollars?

Don't be afraid to send it back. I've sent a few sets back for various reasons. I figure if I'm paying those prices for a little metal disc, then there had better not be any flaws in them.

Did you purchase it from a dealer or the U.S. Mint?

I have a total of four of them.

They all look fine.

If I were you, I would send yours back.
