Have almost no knowledge on older world currency. A value and ID would be great! I think they might be from Germany, but maybe not. Thanks in advance! (Sorry, their taken w/ my camera. Trying to fix my scanner.)

Thanks! So it would appear that they are almost all from the same town. Any idea on their value? Thanks again!

They're not inflationary notgeld, they are 'serienscheine' which were printed by towns as souvenirs and for collectors, and were rarely used as actual currency. They all appear to be from the town of Hann Munden. 'Amida17' is right with the price, notgeld for the most part is fairly inexpensive.

@Amida17, easy way to tell is inflationary usually feature fairly boring, utilitarian designs and are in huge denominations (10,000 Marks, 100,000,000 Marks, etc), they're are also called 'Grossgeld'. 'Serienscheine' feature very colourful designs, depicting famous landmarks, famous people, poems, stories, and political messages (antisemitism, nationalism, etc) and are usually in small denominations (1 Pfennig, 50 Pfennig, etc).

I think I have some "inflationary" notes with the high denominations. Those are probably worth around the same as the "serienscheine", right? I have a couple that are really big IMO. Certainly wouldn't fit nicely in my walet

The large denomination ones can be worth a little more, one in Fine-UNC condition could be worth $5-20 depending on what it is. Go on ebay and see what everyone else is selling it for.

Because they are so plentiful Serienscheine largely needs to be in pristine uncirculated condition to be of interest to collectors. It's a great area for people to collect on a budget.

They are fun notes. Most "sets" can be obtained for £5-£10 and can be from 2 to 12 notes. I have a couple of medieval themed series framed and they hang in my "gothic medieval" hallway to add to the decor.
EDIT. The set of two Grabowski / Mehl catalogues "Deutches Notgeld Band 2, Deutsche Serienscheine" is an essential buy for reference.
