Can you find magnetic and non-magnetic pennies in the same mint box?

Which leaves us with the question....how did the last 1 million pennies (the special wrap) end up being steel cored magnetic?

There have been reports that early 2012 date stamped boxes have a mix of 2011 and 2012. This might be a problem because folks buying 2012 boxes are paying a premium but finding that not all of their coins are dated 2012.

How can we be sure that early March weren't a mix of non and mag? I'd think you'd need inside knowledge of production practices to answer that question definitely.

Is there an underlying reason why you'd be concerned about a mixed mag/nonmag box?

I wouldn't rule out the possibility of magnetic mixed with non-magnetic, but it certainly wouldn't be common. Even if you wanted to find out you would probably need to break open each roll to test...
I do believe the mint reverted back to magnetic blanks in the last run of pennies. The second last batch of pennies I bought from the Mint were magnetic again, that was back in September. (A week or two before that they were non-magnetic and then a week or two after they were back to non-magnetic)

The Mint goes with the blanks they have in stock, whichever is lower priced at that time during minting.

the reason I asked is because 3 of the 50 rolls were non magnetic. so I assumed someone put those 3 rolls in

First time I saw the special roll I knew it would sell for 2x or 4x. Its going to be a HUGE hit. I need to get my hands on more. The limit 1 per customer is whats going to drive prices up. Not to mention the low mintage and nice look
