I'm not an error coin collector... at least not yet. From what I can gather, this is a progressive indirect design transfer (from Mike Diamond's site). Is that the same as a die clash? Are these common? Is there any added value to the cent? There looks to be a small die crack on the reverse and a die chip on the five in the date.

The ghost-like image is more noticable with the coin in hand.

I think it has more to do with a worn die then a die clash.
