Does the fact that these are 14k effect the bullion value?

The 14kt is approx 1/4 oz, there is also a 22kt version that is 1/2 oz.

I was concerned about it, so I bought a ten ounce silver bar instead. I see how hard .800 silver dollars are to move, so I value high fineness.

It's not that they are 'hard to move' but with production being what it was, often the BV is what determines the price. Check out JandM's website to see all the $100 golds are essentially the same prices - based on either 1/4 oz or 1/2 oz - with really no difference between the years.

Any bullion is easy to move in my opinion, and you get lower premiums on the $100 coins. Best thing to do is ask the seller (if it's a dealer) what his spread is between the buy/sell on the coin.
