Because I didn't know this coin, I just started searching in the Spink catalog (Catalog of coins of England and UK, edition 2010). Spink gives several references for 1879 (mdccclxxix): - Reference 3893: die number below bust: quoted as extremely rare - Reference 3896: 42 arcs, no die number below bust: F100 - VF250 - XF 550- UNC1100 - Reference 3897: 48 arcs, WW below bust: F20 - VF45 - XF175 - UNC 450 - Reference 3898: 38 arcs, no WW below bust: F20 - VF45 - XF175 - UNC 450
The picture of the obverse is not sharp enough to assess the presence of the WW or the die number. Can you please have a look at that and tell us (or even better, show us a detail pic of it)
