silver was $20 now it's $24 20% return for such a small period ... and people continue shorting ...that's pure bears' behavior - opposite of bull's one ... barely see and traders

Push it back a week Bekiz to add to your thought, silver was at 17 and change so a full 6 buck increase in that short of time is pretty substantial.....

Yep, I'm glad I stocked up at 18.XX and 19.XX while I had the chance.

And the counter argument to that is that people that were long at 29 in april/may are still down 5 dollars an ounce. Theres always another side to a coin. The key word though is short period of time. Things do crazy things in short isolated time frames.
Likely most people still shorting it right now started doing so long before it hit the 20 dollar price range. If you did it a couple months ago your still ahead so may not be bailing just yet. If they got in a couple weeks ago hopefully they pulled the plug by now

If we are indeed to see more down trend this Christmas could be all time lows at say 15 per oz silver and 1000 gold perhaps.... I am not selling my gold and taking a little now no way. INSTEAD, wait til it falls and put the hammer down on both again. I have about 50 oz of silver to so I will add to that when it comes back down to 20 or so.... They gotta still be some silver bargains out there as well at 24 per even which translates to still nice rounds shipped on ebay around 30 each....

I think yup is right in some sense ... we will go down again with precious metals ... and then there will be some chance to add them just before system reloads itself ... when I say chance I'm talking about cheap gold and silver for a short period of time. The risk is the metals might be unavailable in bulk but still possible to load the truck.
Saying that I'm not waiting for this and constantly buying and selling to reduce my cost average. Recently crossed my goal line, accumulated since Sept 2011, with cost average of $4/oz (containing 1/3 of high premium numiz).
Yeah, and I've quit trading papers since 2010 - I don't like anything on paper - so I have no idea what to do with the charts, trends, and anything like this - just erased this kind of crap from my mind to clear the general view :)

Gold will hover in and around $1,400 and not see near $1000. this is what I said all of Q2 and after a brief lull and lots of news here we go on an uptick. there should be no reason for back and forth 5% - 7% ticks/dips at this point in the global economic game, its going to hold relatively steady even with shorts making calls and longs scooping up to hedge down ownership costs.
In the end its a solid long play now and I look for it to go back to $1650 - $1800 and beyond over the next 4 to 6 quarters.
And Silver is not going to $15 "at holiday season". Silver is another solid long but I don't ever see more than $36OZt based on the bounces and where Gold trended to. $50OZt is a pipe dream until the middle of the century and that will be due to inflation! However, I for one am loading up on all sorts of silver for when it sees $36OZt.

couple of items-
1- I forget who asked what time frame go I go by- yearly, 52 week. Which you can clearly see the downtrend.
2- someone said the USD is in danger because of QE. Sorry but you are wrong. The USD is the ULTIMATE safe haven by all governments around the world. No one will ever leave the USD. The USD will ALWAYS be king.
3- Whats happening? Until gold and silver can break this downtrend they remain guilty. Could they break this downtrend, absolutely! But they have a ton of work to put in before we can safely say things have changed. So for now we are working with a retracement. Could this lead to a change in character? Yes most certainly, if it sticks. Again, let them prove that they are done going down.
4- I hope everyone that could took that AGQ set up. I will have further set ups over the weekend. Depending on feed back I;ll keep it up. BTW, I am not doing it because I run a newsletter or selling anything. These are straight from my playbook what I would and do everyday of the week. I am more than happy to make the silver and gold bugs some money if I can. My way of supporting this site and the hobby and also helping the public understand how markets work.
5- the time to sell short and be short was weeks ago. Any who has been pressing their positions is getting crunched and I am sure part of this retracement has many traders getting squeezed.
6- Be very careful about gloating and saying things like "see the worst is over." That is something you dont want to be saying. If you feel the train left you behind, do not panic. EVEN if gold and silver were to not drop anymore, it is better to buy on the way up rather than on the way down. More about that later in the future.

Hmmm.... well, I'm glad I nibbled a bit too, some pandas & maples. Only a couple of elephants, because I couldn't find a big enough room to put a herd in, never mind finding the time to feed them. The big mark for silver is $26. If it breaks that, then I can see higher prices. But I can't imagine that happening on its first try. Too much resistance. So, yeah, I can see it dump all the way to $15 and even lower. But it won't last. Too many buyers will jump in, including me. Could be a lot of bouncing back & forth between $12/15 and $24/25 until $26 is finally broken.... might take until next year...
