I have just gotten into CRHing and have bought over $200 in halves and I feel like my bank might get mad if they have to put them all through their coin counter should I re roll them myself and make them so I know I have searched them? Edited by socceraustin23 02/16/2013 4:28 pm

It's all a matter of manners and etiquette and just plain ole common sense. Depending on how many banks are in your town you may want to get them at one bank and take the remainder to another. If you take them back where you got them, you can roll them, bring a small gift such as a cupcake platter from the grocer deli or take a chance that the tellers won't give you the stink eye or use the leftover coins to pay for goods and services in town. Have fun !

If you do reroll them yourself, I wouldn't put your name on them or anything. My bank always asks if there is anything on the rolls that someone can identify me by. I put black circles around the end of my rolls. You may want to try something like this.

Should I my bank if they accept CWR first? I would just feel like my bank would appreciate it more if I rolled then instead of them having to put them through their coin counter and wrapping them theirself

I don't know why they wouldn't. However, I have heard of some big banks not taking them. Were the rolls you got there customer wrapped rolls.

Yes, those are bank (machine) rolled. If the bank you go to isn't very big, I don't think they would have a problem with it. However, if it is a big bank, they may want you to put them in bags or something.

The bank I deal with has a machine counter and if you bring in coins that are already rolled they have to take them OUT of the rolls to put in the machine .

Go ahead and run them through the counter, it's not a big deal. Also, it's in your best interest as a roll hunter to take your coins back to a different branch or better yet, different bank.

When the bag in the machine is full of halves, your bank will send them out with a courier, (or, you can try and ask if you can buy that bag, good luck!).
