In the last two weeks I had removed all my USA & World multi-struck error coins from storage to photo and start specialized threads on both CCF forums...
I will admit that multi-struck coins are one of my favorite error types, and wanted to share my errors with others on this site, and would also like others to share their photos...
I am requesting only double & multiple struck error coins be posted in both threads...
The USA thread has some 157 photos and is posted by date, where-as the World error thread has 242 photos and is posted by Country of Origin...
Both threads will be time consuming, and for the error coin lover, should be worth the time spent viewing this, and I eagerly await viewing other members photos.
I am also thinking of starting other threads for single strike off centers, Indents, brockage errors, wrong planchet errors, etc., and if another member would like to start up any of those threads, please advise and I could post my errors in their thread...
Should anyone find a favorite photo they like in either thread, you have my permission to use the photo for your CCF Avatar (all 399 photos were taken by myself)...
And finally, all my photos are high resolution on my computer, and some loss of resolution may be lost with the uploads to photobucket, then posted here... I mention this should someone want to make a "free access" website for both error coins and currency, I could email the high resolution photos to who-ever is up to the challenge of starting such a site...

[double strike cent w/brinks cancel marks] ☼ I was advised from the seller that had access to error coins from Brinks Counting House that the U.S.Mint wanted Brinks (and other counting houses) to destroy all the error coins they locate to curb error coin collecting (this was before the Mint waffled rejected coins) ☼

[double strike cent] ☼ this is NOT a saddle strike as the space between strikes are too close and actually is a off center double strike, with both strikes being off center ☼

[double strike cent] ☼ this is interesting as under the obverse indent is lincoln and the indent strike must have been from a 2nd strike ☼

[Another interesting strike as you can view Lincoln's forehead and nose under the Indent which would indicate the Indent must have been a 2nd planchet entering the chamber over the previous off center struck cent]
