I found these notes in a stamp collection I got and am now just getting round to these.

Can anyone tell me if the notes are real and anything about them?

#1 Denmark, 1 Krone, 1914-1921
#2 Duchy of Luxemburg, 5 Francs, 1944
#3 Clearly very old but, as yet, unable to establish Japanese origin of this 10 sen note.
#4 A ten Sen note issued in Chosun in Japanese-occupied Korea,1920.

They all appear to be genuine.
You can find approx. values at this link:- http://www.atsnotes.com/index.html

A 10 sen ("10 cent") note issued by the Yokohama Specie Bank, Limited in 1918. This particular note circulated in the port city of Qingdao (Tsingtao) in Japanese-occupied China.

The Bank of Chosun note was issued and payable in the banks offices in Manchuria an area in which there was significant Russian influence.

Tsingtao was originally the German concession in China. Early in WWI the Japanese took control of Tsingtao by force from the Germans.

Gary & Lettow - thanks for the 'heads-up' on #4. I visited Qingdao a couple of years ago. There is still a very strong German influence in the architecture and, particularly, the Tsingtao brewery in that city.
