What would you call this on the beavers tail going back to the rim edge . Die chip , Die break ?
Any help would be appreciated .

Die crack.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

That part of the die became a weak spot after thousands of strikes, and many years from the 1940's through to the present day have die cracks appearing in that same spot. Nice eye for finding it on such a sweet coin!
