I have a sliver quarter that has its mint mark (D) very close to the vine, and another one right where it should be...Which is normal? I don't have pics yet... I'll get them when I get home.

mint marks were added by hand to the dies until 1989, so a mint mark on a silver quarter could be almost anywhere.
