The coin is part of a whole set that was offered to the participants of the Bicentenial wagon train pilgrimage to Pennsylvania in 1976. I was a participant in the train riding the leg Winchester Va. to the York fairgrounds in York Pa. I have a full set and these coins came sealed in a plastic cases mounted on a framed board map of the wagon train route across the US. There are holes in the board so the coins can be viewed from both sides. There were different levels you could buy if I remember correctly and I have the pewter coin. Someone just wanted a close look at the one you have I guess? I tried to attach some pictures of the set but it wouldn't upload? Hope this helps. Karl F. Report this Post to the Staff
