Long ago I wrote a short article on portraits of Geta for The Celator. Now I have put it on the web:
http://esty.ancients.info/Geta/
It might help you decide which type of Geta portrait to get.

Warren- just wanted to point out slight typo on the Legend for figure 3

Should read....P SEPT GE(T)A CAES PONT

Otherwise a very sensational read.

Very interesting.

I collected Geta for a while. There are definite signs of his maturing illustrated through the coinage. How about the following pair of coins where his facial hair develops on the same reverse type within the same issue.

I added another early Geta portrait (Figure 3) to my short educational article:
http://esty.ancients.info/Geta/
On the earliest coins his name begins with an "L" instead of beginning with a "P" as it does later.

The only 'real' imperial of Geta I own
(The other I have is a colonial issue)
If it is of any use to you I will gladly share it
(The image of course....... I am rather fond of the coin)
