First, thanks to all the forum members who posted the threads that most of these ideas came from.
After posting a thread about the coolpix 950 last month,I began reading and experimenting.
After hundreds of photos and different ways of magnification and discarding all of them,
this is what I came up with.First came binoculars given to me a long time ago, which I promptly
cut down leaving the objective lens in place.

Next came the QX3 microscope which was given to me because it no longer worked.I promptly disassembled it for the lenses.
Two of the four worked well together.

This is what it looks like assembled."R"rated for not pretty.

The other end of barrel is taped to the camera lens.
Due to design of the 950 the QX3 stand was even useful as base for the camera. With the block of wood on viewing
platform it let me use the focus wheels for final adjustment.

The following four photos are a result.Consecutive shots,no editing, although I think they could benefit from light adjustment
and tweaking in post processing.I use a OTT floor lamp with adjustable goose neck.

Talking about post processing here are three coins I worked on in my new editing software for a couple hours.
Kennedy-Peace Dollar-Bust Half
I think I over processed them.

May want this for my avatar.
