Hello! I am new here and very glad to find this site. I have a 1966 Silver Dollar with small beads but a hole drilled through it! Does this make it worthless? Appreciate any feedback. I also have quite a bit of Canadian silver dimes and quarters and considering selling. Do you suggest ebay or other? Thanks in advance for your help.....Robert

your silver dollar isn't worthless but it won't be of any value to a collector. It is worth about $18.00 for silver melt value.
The fastest and easiest way for you to sell your silver coins would most likely be kijij I buy scrap silver coins virtually every day from that site.
Be prepared for the scrappers to come outta the wood work though. I wouldn't take less than $1.00 per dime and $3.50 per quarter.
Knowledge is your best weapon! be sure to scour your coins for key dates or any old ones that might have more value than scrap. It could be the difference between $3.50 & $350.00

sorry Small bead actually might be worth something to some one. I would toss it on ebay and see where it goes.

Thank you very much John. I plan to research the years of each coin before selling but it is a good reminder for me as I am new to this.....Robert

I always look for rare coins with holes - you can get them for cheap. It sucks to see a beautiful uncirculated large cent with a big hole in it, but it's a lot cheaper than one without the hole!

Is this the coin posted on kijiji? That's one brutal place for a hole, I can't see it bringing much more than silver value

I agree with 54dollarcoin, looks like large bead variety to me as well. You definitely won't get the $900 asking price on kijiji.

There is another great site to sell / buy from it's webstore .com. I have sold a coin on it. The only fees are Paypal. They use an ebay model, and a person can set up a web store for free. They generate revenue through selling ads. I have also bought coins from there with no problems. They have great reviews on line. They also give you a web address to use in promoting your items on business cards, promo materials. It would be great to see more coins posted on it. Rox

No flip or holder needed for that dollar. Just drive in a nail and hang it.
