I voted quite a while ago,surprised at the results.
Both are "bars"'though not as pronounced as most '36 "bars". A die crack between the two ribbon ends is all that defines a "bar",one of the lamest varieties to warrant a premium in Trends.Thankfuly they go without mention in Charlton's.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...
