I went to a local coin shop today to pick up a Good condition SLQ to finish a quarter type set to take to the flea market to sell.

I found a Type I in the junk quarters bin and thought could it be a 1916? I bought it and the other three SLQ's in the bin and after studying it at home it appears to be a 1917. There's two hair curls, the rivets on the shield are still quite visible, the gown at the bottom does not extend to the leg. The one that went into the holder is a 1925. The quarters in the set are 1853 Arrows and Rays, 1915-D, the 1925, 1935 and a Bicentennial.

Yeah, it's a 1917.

A 1916 would have been a great score though.
