coin was given to me by my great grandfather.

I have been researching to figure out what the coin actually is but cannot figure it out. My best guess is a "city coin" from Jerusalem but I doubt that is correct.

Coin says "copa" on one side and on the other has markings that appear to be text or perhaps writing of some sort.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much!

Unfortunately, what it actually says is "COPY". This is a brass replica of a silver tetradrachm from the city of Gela, Sicily. We've seen these replicas on the forum many times before; Here's a recent example; This one has more links. They were apparently made to be stuck onto advertising cards for a Readers Digest book on Greek history.
