can you help me identify this medallion?

On front around top it says, "ALBERT PIKE SOV GR. COMM. S.M.J.
1809-1891
Picture in center is of Bearded Guy, Long Hair

On Back, it says, "MORALS, DOGMA AND CLAUSENS, COMMENTARIES 1983
33 GRADO SOVRANO GRANDE ISPETTORE GENERALE
Picture is of 2 Birds Sitting on a Compass?, Star of David above them

A search of

suggests a connection with Free Masonry.
