Hello.
I found this coin recently in a ploughed up field while out walking. It appears to be gold. It's not in good condition but I'd love to find out it's origin. The face appears to have two figures holding spears or staffs with another smaller figure above in the centre. The only markings I can make out are the word "Concordia" Though quite a few of the other letters are clear. The reverse has a shield with three fleur de lis with a crown above. I know little about coins but have spent a lot of time searching the net for information. All I have come up with is that is probably French.

Sorry if the photo is bad.

Any help would be so much appreciated. Thanks.

Sadly, if this were gold it would have left the ground in the same condition as it entered. Gold does not corrode. What you have appears to be a brass jeton.
Lots of information can be found by entering that word on the top left of this page where it says "Search Coin Community"

They are most certainly collected and some are quite sought after. Yours is as you surmised most probably French but unfortunately the best search site:
www.cgb.fr
is having problems at present.
Someone here should be able to give further information.

Thank you so much! I was getting nowhere searching for information. The absence of a Monarch's head and date did make me wonder at some point as to whether it was in fact a coin. Shame it's only brass. I could have at least unearthed a gold Louis D'Or.
Thanks also for pointing me to the site for info on jetons. I will look into it when it's up and running again. It is so good to have actually found something out about this coin, it has been a bit of a learning curve and interesting to boot.
Thank you...
