Hi,
I have this 1948 silver dollar, I would like to sell it but I'm not sure about the grade or what price to try to get for it. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks.

It's a spot. I didn't know if I should rub it off or not. The coin is encapsulated, I only took it out of the capsule for the photo.

I could see this grading as a MS60, very nicely toned, I am not seeing any scratches or marks that would concern me

I would not rub it , leave the coin as original as possible, any handling or attempts to make it look better would devalue the coin.

Should expect to get 1600 for it considering its that grade and not graded by a TPG

I'm not sure but,it looks like it may have had a slight cleaning at one time.

It also doesn't look MS60 to me but, it could be the way the photos were taken.

But, as been noted, do not rub it or clean it in any way.

Thanks guys. The photos are very accurate as such I don't think it's in mint state. I'm going to put an ad on craigslist to see if someone wants to buy it. I love my coin collection but I just got hit with a bunch of bills to pay so rather than sell a bunch of cheaper coins, I figure I'll just liquidate one coin. Hopefully if someone does reply to my craigslist ad they don't turn out to be a mugger... That wouldn't be good.

Always meet people you do not know, in a public place with lots of people around.
