Just go into a big bank Wells Fargo, Bank of America Chase, etc. and ask for a box of coins and they probably wont ask if you have an account. I got $350 dimes and $25 in pennies in machine wraps coins once at a bank I was not a member at and they didn't ask any questions.

If they ask if you have an account with the bank, be honest with them. The worse they can say is that they give coins only to people with accounts.

Last week, The teller that I tried to buy a box of pennies from kept asking me "what business are you with" and I kept on saying, I like looking through coins. He kept asking me that same question at least 5 more times and I replied the same for all his questions. He finally agreed to give me the pennies, but he was mad about it. So annoying trying to get pennies without the teller thinking you're a weirdo/criminal/freak/on drugs.

Just ask for the coins. If they ask you if you have an account be honest and say no.Either they still sell them to you or they don't. If your bank doesn't want to sell or order you boxes of coins maybe it's time to find a bank that does.

Why not just open multiple accounts? That's what I've done, no problems ever scoring coin to search...it's just so simple.

The simplest thing to do and the easiest way around this roadblock is to just open an account. Once you do that, they'll hand you the keys to the kingdom and
you'll get to enjoy a lot of "courtesies of the house" that aren't extended to non account-holders. Pick a bank with a hospitable policy about providing boxes of
coins, just get over this hurdle and open an account. It'll prove to be well worth it in the long run. Plus---just for starters, you'll be able to get more coins than
you'll have the time to hunt through. Picture that!
