It looks like a widows mite. I would not know if it was real or not - I suspect the experts would require weight, diameter, thickness and better pics.

It looks like a Lepton (Widow's Mite). Not enough visible to tell when it was minted but 103 to 76 BC would be a safe guess as I do not think they minted the Star with eight rays after King Alexander Jannaeus. It should be Bronze and it does look real.

According to the owner it's 15mm. The weight is unknown but she says that "it feels light"

But you think it's genuine?

The picture is so blurred it is hard to tell. 15mm would not be a lepton but more likely a prutah. How much is owner asking? It does look ok... I'm not an expert but I have many of each of these coins. .. my favorite eea so far

the owner didn't know what is was, so she sent me this pictures and asked if I could help. I was a little unsure so I posted the picture here. I don't think she attends to sell it, she was curious about what it was, and if it was a coin at all.

Yes it is a Prutah, my thought is the coin was minted under Judean King and High Priest Alexander Jannaeus while Israel was still self ruling prior to the Roman occupation. And it looks real
