Hi Folks,
I know....don't clean the coins! Now having said that, I have a few coins where I just can't read the date as the circulated coins have so much dirt on them...what do I do?

Noodled, to the CCF

What kind of coins are they, and what condition are they in?

Have you tried soaking them in Acetone?

..also an Ultrasonic cleaner, water with a dab of detergent, is good for removing dirt without marking coin. There are threads on this Forum or on the wider net about using them.

WOW...thanks for the quick response!

I thought I shouldn't even try any of that! I have some 2 cents, 5 cents & a ton of pre-decimal where I just can't see the entire date.
