goe this in an uncleaned lot.....only my second valentinian i, not a spectacular coin but it cleaned up nice. only took about a month.

Nice job cleaning... and don't be shy telling us your process, I for one am always interested in benefitting from the experience of others!

I am sure its a distilled water or olive oil method you use, but how long you soak for, how often you use a toothbrush, if you pick at your coins at all... all that I would like to know. I see you have done a few good jobs so you seem to be the resident professional where cleaning is concerned.

thanks guys!

DUK, this one was distilled water only. i'll use olive oil for thick crusty stuff or gunk that just wont yield otherwise....stick it in olive oil and forget about it a couple months.

for most, distilled water, have a cleaning session once a week or so (needles, toothpick, toothbrush), back in the water....repeat until done.
