Hi everyone,

I would like to send coins to ICCS so I could have them certified, but I don't know at all how it works and how much it would cost, and what happens with the payments and coins, etc.

Could someone help me please?

Have a nice evening!

Send the coins by registered mail to:

International Coin Certification Service
2010 Yonge St., Suite 202
Toronto,Ontario
M4S 1Z9

The fee is $15.00 for 1-5 coins or $10.00 for 6 or more, they also add on for registration , return shipping and insurance. They send a report with the returned coins as well as a copy under separate cover. In my experience the coins often arrive before the copy of the report. I don't remember what happened my first time but now that I am a repeat customer they don't require payment before returning my coins.

Their phone # is 416-488-8620, fax# 416-488-6371

Hi,

Thanks a lot for your answer!
I'll do the best I can. I can't contact them by telephone since my English is not good enough...

Have a nice evening!

Hi,

Can I send the coins by 2 x 2 cardboards or it has to be in 2.5 x 2.5 NON-PVC coin flips?

Thanks and have a nice evening!

I have sent them in 2 X 2's. It didn't seem to be any problem.

Hi again!

I'm sorry, I had a lot of question about this subject...

Example that I have a coin certified by NGC. Can I send it to ICCS not for a cross-grading but for a normal grading. ICCS would take out the coin of the NGC holder and put it in an ICCS holder. There would be " no trace" of a cross-grading, even not the certification number of NGC?

Thanks a lot for taking the time to answer my questions!
Have a great evening!

they will charge you to remove the coin from the NGC holder, probably about five or ten dollars. If you can remove it yourself I would do so. When I send coins to them I put them in 2x2s and then in a binder page. I list the coins in the order they are on the page on the request form for grading. I also put a number on the 2x2 to correspond with the order. I make my own list and give each coin a grade I think it is so I can compare my skills with the pros after I get them back. Have you thought about sending them to CCCS?
