That's a glorious coin, but very close to street value right now at $521. Keep in mind, there are MS67 DMPL's of this issue, and 65 DMPL's are not uncommon. 1884 is among the more common Carson City Morgans in PL/DMPL condition.

Were this an 1893-CC, it would be very different....that one is a staggering rarity in DMPL, and will cost you as much to own as an 1889-CC in similar grade. The '89's are actually much more common in DMPL, making the '93 a relative bargain if you can manage to purchase one of the half-dozen or so known (only two, I think, in 64 and none finer).

For a real "sleeper," look to 1879. As a percentage of the mintage, 1879-CC is actually rarer than 1889-CC in DMPL, and it'll take you a 5-digit check to own one in 64DMPL.

This is only broadly indicative - not specific to population - but Heritage has offered more 1889-CC's in DMPL than 1879-CC's.
