I understand that with this coin, which is high value there are different obverses, 4 or 5. The 4 is more valuable. Can anyone tell me which one 'my future coin is?'

Also, advised its into MS, perhaps only 60. If informed and well experienced members think otherwise please let me know.

Thanks, marbury

Hi Marbury,

Hope all's well over in the "Mother Country"... :)

Not the best pictures, so it's tough to give accurate grade...

But definitely the rarer Type 4 obverse based on shape of ear...

Canadian Coin News "Trends" lists value at AU50 $1200 - $2400 MS60...

Take care, and Have a Great Day!

If you look closely at the rims and view the (serrated) "jagged" edges, intact eyebrow, very few contact marks in the fields and strong first strike features in the hair. These features usually are a sign of a high grade MS coin; (MS-63+)
I'd be willing to "fictitiously" bet my 2011 Porsche 911 that this is a MS-63 according to I.C.C.S. standards (Obv. #4)!

I agree with Glenzy on this one. Does look MS 62/63. This would place it top 2 or 3 at ICCS. Nice!

Mr. Marbury, just one small question before you leave, "Where did you say this coin could be located?"

I now own the coin and it became clear UK and other bidders did not pick up on the
obverse type or the nodded 6. It will go to ICCS when it arrives with me and will
post the result.

Congrats! Can you now reveal where you found this coin?

I think more than a few dime collectors burnt out their search engines trying to find that baby! We have a duty to re-patriate these top coins.

Was it eBay(UK), DNW, WW, or maybe London coins?

Sorry but I do have a portal where I pick up such archane pieces on ocassions and I would be a fool to disclose it. Don't buy on e-bay,DNW have decent pieces sometimes but can be costly due to competition and WW have been disapponting for Can stuff in recent years.....London coins overpriced. The coin will be re-patriated for a week at ICCS then will return to the mother country....will post result.....all the best, marbury
