I picked up this nice Diocletian follis (29mm in diameter) from Antioch a long time ago, but I have never been quite sure as to how much my coin may be worth. Any guesses? Thanks!

Nice example Archraz!

This is a fairly common reverse type that was produced with a myriad of different field marks, etc. I think your coin would realize at least $60 but likely a bit more.

Here is a link to some examples from Antioch of this type:

Your coin really has lovely surfaces,

I have listed nice folli on ebay and gotten $18. I have gone 'bottom feeding' and bought a few for under $12. I have seen dealers selling theirs for $30-40 and I have seen some asking $50-75 (whether they get it I don't know .... or care) A coin is only worth whatever some fool will pay for it ! In this case I think if you said $30 you would be in the right zone.

This is an excellent coin, well centered, with full legends and excellent details. I would have no problem paying anywhere between $30-$40.

Thanks for the info and complements, everyone! I actually paid $30 for it a few years ago. SO I'm glad that I didn't overpay.

Not to worry at all; no way you could have overpaid at 30 for it, at least now.
